James ‘Jim’ Hall

James “Jim” Hall, 89, of Falls City, passed away August 30, 2019, in Falls City.  He was born April 16, 1930, in Marrs, OK to Hugh and Lena (Albert) Hall.

Jim was raised in Henryetta, OK, graduating from Spalding High School in 1949.

He married Lula A. Coonce on May 14, 1960, at First United Methodist Church in Falls City. She passed away November 7, 1995.

He started working for Burlington Northern Railroad in 1953 doing welding and maintenance for the company’s trains. He moved to Falls City while working for the railroad where he met and married Lula. After the couple married, they established their home in Rulo, NE, and in 1977 they moved the family to Falls City. Jim retired from the railroad in 1992, giving him time to enjoy fishing, gardening, spending quality time with his grandchildren and traveling to Oklahoma. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Jim is survived by his sons Jim and his wife Cheryl, Tom and his wife Cathy, Garry and his wife Veronica and Larry Hall, all of Falls City, Andrew and his wife Shanda of Schuyler, NE daughter, Ginger Feek of Falls City, sisters Juanita Williams of Seal Beach, CA and Helen Hill of Norman, OK, grandchildren, Jake, Jeremy, Robert and Jason Hall, Matthew Hall and Jenny Wood, John, Noah and Lena Hall, Heaven and Sara Norton, Krystal Holmes, Bobby Hall, Jocelyn O’Grady, Adeasha Hall, Preston, Auston and Easton Hall, Kodi Schmidt, Krynn Prater, Reece, Laney, Emmylu and Ray Feek and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Donald George Hall, brothers, Calvin, Richard, Willie and Clifford Hall and sister, Nada Hall.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 10:30 A.M. at the Trinity Methodist Church at Rulo with Reverend Young Je Kim officiating. Interment will be Rulo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
