Rose Mary Fischer

On Wednesday, April 17, 2019, Rose Mary Fischer, of Tulsa, OK, passed away following a hard fought battle with brain cancer at the age of 64. She was born to the late Harold and Mary Fischer on June 19, 1954 graduating from Southeast Consolidated High School in May 1972 of Stella, NE. Rose entered into early retirement from employment with Hillcrest Medical Systems where she was employed for 10 years.

She married Paul Worley, July 7, 1973, in Stella, NE. They moved to Schuyler, Nebraska in 1985 where they raised their two daughters. She was employed at Cargill Meat Industries for 20 years. Following divorce, Rose relocated to Falls City, Nebraska for two years working as a pharmacy technician at Ken’s Pharmacy. She later joined her family in Oklahoma to spend her life enjoying her children and grandchildren. 

Rose loved the Lord, watching her grandson’s many sporting events, quilting, gardening, bird watching, and spending time outdoors. She wanted nothing more than to spend time with her family and her beautiful friends who assisted with her care until her passing.

She will forever be remembered by her daughters, Tara Worley and Ericka (Demson) Jeffords, along with her two grandsons, Justice and Ethan Jeffords and her siblings June (Arley) Patton, Judy (Dave) Anderson, Debbie (Jim) Henning, Kathy (Roy) Rieschick, and Jim (Teresa) Fischer.

Rose was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Mary Fischer and brother, Greg Fischer. She will also be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

A celebration of Rose’s life was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, at Riverview Baptist Church, 13201 S. Memorial Drive Bixby, Oklahoma 74008 with Pastor Andy Jobe officiating.
