Lois Wolfe

Lois Elaine Wolfe, 79, of Humboldt, was born on May 30, 1939 in Shubert, to Richard and Burnis Bell (Farson) Dettmann.  She was raised in the Shubert area where she attended country school through the 8th grade.  On December 22, 1956, Lois was united in marriage to Lawrence Wolfe at the home of Rev. Ward Merritt in Humboldt.  To this union three children, Michael, Randy, and Lora were born.  The couple raised their family in Humboldt where Lois was a homemaker for most of her life.

Lois passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018, at the Bryan LGH Medical Center East in Lincoln.

Lois is survived by her husband Lawrence Wolfe of Humboldt, NE; sons: Michael Wolfe of Humboldt; Randy (Kelly) Wolfe of Summerset, SD; daughter Lora (David) Earl of Greenwood, NE; grandchildren: Cassandra (Jake) Stahl of Auburn; Bradley Willey of Pawnee City; Melissa (Charles) Vap of Lake Charles, LA; Patrick (Sara) Wolfe of Kyle, TX; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Sharon Dettmann of Lincoln; Nadine Byrom of Colorado, sister-in-law Betty Dettmann of California, brothers-in-law: Jimmy Burgett of Council Bluffs; Ronald Wolfe of Kansas City, MO; Charles Wolfe of Kansas City, MO; and many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Edward, Kenneth, and Charles (Shirley) Dettmann, a sister Joanne Burgett, and brother-in-law Merle Byrom.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Prairie Union Cemetery in rural Shubert, Nebraska with Pastor Howard Blecha officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska.  Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family’s choice with a later designation.
