DENNIS LYNN LOCKARD

Dennis Lynn Lockard, 49, of Stella, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2016 as a result of a traffic accident. He was born Oct. 5, 1967 in Auburn to Dennis Lowell and Vivian Darlene (McIntire) Lockard.

He grew up in Stella where he attended grade school. He graduated from Southeast Consolidated High School with the Class of 1986. On Feb. 14, 1987, Dennis was united in marriage to Lori Strecker. To this union, a son, Dennis Lynn Lockard II, was born. The couple would later divorce. Dennis would later have another son, James Lowell Lockard.

On April 6, 1993, he was united in marriage to Derinda Rybolt. The couple lived together in Stella for 23 years. Dennis helped his dad at Lockard Service from a young age and learned to work on tires and cars. He was like his mother in that he was very talented and could build anything. Dennis attended college in Omaha, but returned to Stella to be close to his parents. He and Derinda were always just a phone call away until Denny Sr. and Darlene’s passing last summer. Dennis loved his family with his whole heart, which was huge. He would do anything to help family, friends or even a stranger stranded on the road somewhere. Dennis enjoyed playing pool league with his good friends and really never knew a stranger.
