Mary Wesson Sawyer, 92, of Falls City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 at Falls City. She was born on Dec. 30, 1924 at North Little Rock, AR, the daughter of the late Wallace and Lillie (Cox) Wesson.
She married William Snyder on Feb. 7, 1947 at Little Rock. He passed away in March 1998.
Mary was born and raised in North Little Rock and graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1942. She then attended Oauchita University in Arkadelphia, AR, and Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. She lived in Fort Worth, as well as other places where her husband was a Minister. She later moved to Falls City in March of 2002.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Susan Estell, of Houston, TX, and Teri Sawyer, of Falls City; three grandchildren and one great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, TX. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
