Past Kings, Queens of Sacred Heart get special invite to Homecoming ‘15

    Homecoming Week will begin next week at Falls City Sacred Heart.
    The coronation of the Homecoming Royalty will take place following the 7 p.m. football game Friday night, Oct. 9, against two-time defending eight-man football champ Exeter-Milligan at Jug Brown Stadium. The game is a rematch of last year’s Class D2 State Semifinal.
    Homecoming Queen candidates include Maggie Goltz, daughter of Doug and Janice Goltz; Louise Hamilton, daughter of Jeff and Sheila Hamilton; and Natalie Kreifels, daughter of Michelle Kreifels.    
    King candidates are Henry Arnold, son of Harry Arnold and Samantha Arnold; Lane “Reggie” Johansen, son of Chris Pokorny and the late Larry Johansen; and Cameron Jordan, son of Mack Jordan and Kathy Jordan.
    Homecoming Royalty dating back to 1960 have been invited back to the football game and will be introduced at halftime for special recognition as part of celebrating 125 years of education at Sacred Heart.    
    The 2015-16 school year is also the 25th anniversary of the Irish boys football, basketball and track team’s two “Triple Crowns.” Team members of the graduating classes of 1990-94 have also been invited to the football game to be recognized at halftime.  
    For high school students, Dress Up Days are as follows: Monday, Generation Day; Tuesday, Tacky Tourist Day; Wednesday, 90’s TV Show Day; Thursday, Preppie vs. Nerd Day; and Friday, Color Day with the freshmen wearing white; sophomores, red; juniors, green; and seniors wearing black. The K-8 grade students will be allowed to wear blue jeans and a spirit shirt on Friday.
    Other events include a Student Council-sponsored taco feed from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, for all FCSH families and fans at O’Connor Hall. This will be followed by a pep rally and football jersey auction at 7 at Tiehen Gym, followed by a bonfire. The annual National Honor Society Homecoming Scavenger Hunt for high schools students will be held immediately following the jersey auction.
    Thursday evening there will be a Student Council-sponsored lunch cookout for high school students and faculty members at 12:45 p.m., followed by a talent show and games. Each class will present a skit for the show and prizes will be awarded.
