JACQUELINE ‘JACKIE’ BROWN

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Brown, 79, of Falls City, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2015 at Lincoln. She was born April 17, 1936 at Pawnee City to the late Lester and Ann (Dulin) Packett.

Jackie was raised at Pawnee City and graduated from Pawnee City High School in 1954. On June 20, 1954 she married Allan Brown, Sr. at Pawnee City. When married, the couple established their home on a farm south of Pawnee City. When they moved into town she worked for Sawyer Clothing for many years. She Browns divorced in April 1975. She moved to Lincoln and worked for Russell Stover and then the Tool House, where she retired. She moved to Falls City in 2008 to be near her daughters.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Allana (Rich) Little, and Kelly (Marlin) Carpenter, both of Falls City; sister, Sally Linden, of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Leah Carpenter and her friend, Ben Symonds, of Lincoln, Jill (Jacob) Bartek, of Falls City, Garth Brown and his fiancé, Devin, of Omaha, Heath Brown of Lincoln; great-granddaughter, Haddie Bartek; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; and a son, Allan Brown, Jr.

Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at Presbyterian Church at Pawnee City, with Rev. Duane Westing officiating. Interment will be in Pawnee City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home in Falls City.
