Paula Richey, 88, of Falls City, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Falls City. She was born Aug. 13, 1926 at Badreichenhall, Germany, the daughter of the late Josef and Paula (Hillpoint) Fischer.
On April 13, 1946 she married James Richey, Sr. at Salzburg, Austria. He passed away Nov. 22, 2004.
Paula was raised in Germany. Following marriage, the couple established their home in Falls City and she was a homemaker and beautician for many years before retiring in 2010.She liked bingo, Sewing and cooking.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Falls City.
Paula is survived by her sons, James (Doylee) Richey, of Hiawatha, KS, and Richard, Gary (LeAnne) and Larry (Melissa) Richey, all of Falls City; daughter, Paula Kerkow, of FC; two sisters; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, Falls City, with Rev. Paul Weinert officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
