Louise Volz, 83, of Falls City, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at Falls City, with her whole family at her side. She was born on April 15, 1931 in DuBois to the late Mike and Emma (Habegger) Stalder.
She was raised at DuBois and graduated from DuBois High School in 1949. On July 14, 1950 she married Kenneth Volz and they later divorced.
When married, the couple established their home in DuBois and then moved to Falls City in 1965, where they owned laundry mats in Falls City and Humboldt. Louise also worked at Fireside Inn for 25 years. She then worked for In –Home-Health, retiring in 1996.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Mackey, of Falls City, Jackie (Perry) Wilhelm, of Falls City, and Debbie (Doug) Ault, of Brainard; son, Michael Volz, of Lincoln; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Her memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Weinert officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
