EARL DALLAS

Earl Dallas, 74, of Verdon, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014 at Humboldt. He was born Nov. 6, 1940 at Dalhart, TX, to the late Desmond and Juanita (Morrison) Dallas.

He married Sharon Casias on Sept. 20, 1990 at Falls City.

Earl was raised at Clayton, NM, and graduated from Clayton High School. In 1962 he graduated from York Community College with a Physical Education Degree and a coaching endorsement. He taught and coached at Hampton and York, coached girls basketball at McCool, Dawson-Verdon and then at Falls City High School. He retired in 2004.

He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church,  and the Elk’s Lodge at York.

Earl is survived by his wife, of the home; daughters, Corrine (Mike) Martin, of Lincoln, and Samantha Dallas, of Verdon; son, Quitan (Denise) Dallas, of Lincoln; step-children, Robert Aragon, of Texas, and Jessica Aragon, of Trinidad, CO; brothers, Dwayne Dallas, of Texas, George (Pauline) Dallas, of Lakewood, CO, David (Carolyn) Dallas, of Noble, OK; sisters, Ada Jean Burrows, of Denver, CO; Jeannine (Leonard) Thompson, of Denver; five grandchildren. 

Earl was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phil; and sister, Nitalee Zinck.

His funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, south of Verdon. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
