FCHS senior Maygan Ramsey served the Lady Tigers from 18-11 to 24-11 in the third game of their straight-set victory over Wilber-Clatonia Monday night at the Class C1-1 Subdistrict Tournament at Beatrice High School. FC, now 21-8 on the year, plays Auburn at 7 p.m. tonight at Beatrice HS for the C1-1 Subdistrict Final. The Tigers beat Auburn in two games in mid-September in FC.
Another victory would send the Lady Tigers to the Friday, Nov. 7, Class C1-1 District Final against 14-17 Ashland-Greenwood at a site to be determined. The Bluejays advanced with Monday wins over Conestoga and Syracuse.
This Falls City High School volleyball team has already set a school record with victories in a single season and is two wins from being the first Lady Tiger team to qualify for the state volleyball tournament. With 21 wins on the fall, FCHS could feasibly match the program win total over the previous six years combined (25).
