Lois Elaine DeVeney, 71, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 in Overland Park, KS, after a long battle with cancer. She was born March 8, 1943 in Humboldt. to John and Doris May (Darveau).
Lois graduated from Falls City Sacred Heart High School in 1961. Two years later she married Bernard DeVeney. They resided in the Kansas City area, where they began raising their four children.
She is survived by her mother, Doris May; children, Camille (Bryan) Crust, Audra (Ryan) Cocherl, Mary (Mike) Prim, Brian (Jeannie) DeVeney; 10 Grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy (Jerry) Lollman, Jan Piper, Maggie Muhleka, John (Rolaine) May, and Mark (Lori) May.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; and her father, John May.
Funeral Mass for Lois was held at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Leawood, KS on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014.
