FC man cited and jailed after firing weapon outside his home

Falls City Police Officers Patrick Stamper and Jamie Baker responded to a call late Friday night after a gun was fired following an altercation at a residence in Falls City.

Assistant Police Chief/Investigator Duane Armbruster with the FCPD stated Monday afternoon that 22-year-old Jacob A. Lee was cited for discharging a firearm in city limits, unlawful discharge of a firearm, terroristic threats and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony for allegedly firing one round from a gun at some point during the altercation outside Lee’s house, located at 2120 Morton St.

Lee was taken into custody and lodged in Richardson County Jail.

Armbruster said the bullet and gun were recovered.

Steven Wendtlandt, Jake Babb and Josh Murphy, all of Falls City, are the listed complainants.

It is believed an incident occurred between Lee and the complainants over the phone earlier in the evening, then spilled over to Lee’s house.

The FCPD is continuing to investigate the incident.

Lee was scheduled to appear in County Court Monday for a bond hearing.
