A community clean up update!
Carol and RJ Hamilton’s Recycling Center at 6th and Stone will now accept electronics, such as computers, office equipment, VCRs, radios, satellites, cell phones and televisions ($5 fee to process each TV).
They will continue to accept glass (clear, green, brown, blue), plastics (numbers 1 through 7, remove labels on bottles), tin and aluminum cans.
Items may be submitted for recycling from 9 a.m. to noon at the 6th and Stone Street location beginning April 20.
A free community clean up is set for Saturday, April 20, from 8 a.m. until noon. Large items can be taken to the parking lot across the street from Prichard Auditorium. Curbside “shopping” will take place during the week (starting April 15). Place items curbside with a sign marked “FREE.” If the item or items are not taken, they can be taken to the parking lot on April 20.
Tyler Bek and son will assist with very heavy items and appliances. Costs will be between $10-$20 by prior arrangement. Call 402-245-7378 by Thursday, April 18.
