Lawrence M. “Larry” Weaver, Jr., 77, of Falls City, passed away April 2, 2013 at Topeka, KS. He was born June 6, 1935 at Scribner, to the late Larry M., Sr. and Janet (Wurzbacher) Weaver.
Larry enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1958.
On July 27, 1958 he married Doris Constantine at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, northeast of Falls City.
At the age of one, Larry’s family moved to a farm north of Salem. He attended grade school at District #45 and graduated from Verdon High School in 1953. He attended Doane College and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and then worked in Omaha for one year.He then entered the Army; following his discharge he began farming. In 1966 they moved to a farm south of Falls City, where he still resided. He served on the ASC Committee, member of the Riding Club, member of the Rural Fire Dept., Rural Water District #2 Water Board, BPO Elk’s Lodge #963, and a member of American Legion Post #102, all of Falls City.
Larry is survived by his wife, Doris of Falls City; daughters, Pamela (Randy) Scott, Tami Jo (Dave) Feek, all of Falls City; sons, Michael (Pat), and Doug, all of Falls City; brother, Paul, of Toledo, OR; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Dorr & Clark Funeral Home with Rev. John Sipf officiating. Interment will be in Williamsville Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at Dorr & Clark Funeral Home.
