Dorothy Janice Martin, 84, of Topeka, KS, passed away March 19, 2013 at Newton, KS. She was born Oct. 31, 1928 at Barada, to the late Alfred and Olive (Wileman) Percival.
On Feb. 17, 1981 she married Robert E. Martin. He passed away in 2008.
Mrs. Martin moved to Topeka in 1941 and graduated from Topeka High School in 1947 and then attended Washburn University. She served as secretary for Colmery-O’Neil Veterans Affairs Medical Center from 1951 until 1984. She moved to Ozawkie, KS in September of 1985.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Gavel Club and Ozawkie Kansas Fire Auxiliary.
She is survived by her step-children, Catherine Scott of Newton, KS, Robert Martin of Bradenton, FL, and four step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Roland, Russell, Teddy and Donald Percival.
Graveside services were held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Harris Cemetery at Barada.
