A Falls City woman remains in Richardson County Jail after allegedly stabbing her husband during a domestic disturbance Thursday night.

A Hiawatha, KS, man was charged with two counts of felony child abuse last week in Richardson County Court for his role in a March 15 traffic stop.

On Thursday, April 11, seven new members were inducted into the Falls City Chapter of the National Honor Society.

On Thursday, April 18, 275 area pre-school students and their families will join their teachers and school staff, Auburn and Falls City youth mentors, and SENCA employees for the 5^th Annual SENCA Head Start Pre-School Track and Field Day event held at Auburn High School.

On behalf of the Grand Lodge of Nebraska, Robert L. Ferguson was presented the prestigious Bronze Jordan Medal for over 60 years of  “loyal and dedicated service to Masonry” at the April ll meeting of Falls City Lodge No. 9 A.F.& A.M.

Falls City was honored at the State Capitol Tuesday, April 2, as the 2013 winner of the Governor’s Showcase Community Award.  Governor Dave Heineman announced the award while proclaiming March 31-April 6 as Community Development Week in Nebraska.

During their April 1 meeting (no fooling), the Falls City Council heard a quarterly report from Eric Barr, Director of the Falls City Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Falls City.

After reviewing proposals for the possible renovation of the Armory building, the Richardson County Commissioners voted at their April 2 meeting to select the firm of Prochaska & Associates and to approve their proposal.
