Barbara Jean (Allen) Walker, 81, of Falls City passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the Falls City Care Center in Falls City. She was born on October 22, 1939 in Auburn, the third of seven to Harold and Helen (Millhouse) Allen. Barbara graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Chillicothe, Missouri in 1957. She married Jerry Walker on October 22, 1959 and to this union were born Princess Lynn and Mark Alan. They later divorced. Barbara later met Irvin “Beaux” Roberts and they had one child, Paula Jean. She had many jobs from waitressing to Campbell’s Soup in Tecumseh. Barbara was best known for childcare for family members and baby-sat for many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was a biscuit maker for Hardee’s and a donut maker for Casey’s where she retired in 2002.
Barbara is survived by three children, Princess Hestermann and husband Gary of Humboldt, Mark Walker and wife Sharon of Falls City, Paula Henderson of Falls City; siblings, Fran Henne of Nebraska City, Jim Allen and wife Charlotte of Tecumseh, Mary Haack and husband Raymond of Johnson, Helen Ballue and husband Robert of Overton; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carlene Mattox; brother, Harold Ray Allen Jr.; brother-in-law, Jerry Henne; ex-husband, Jerry; and special friend, Irvin “Beaux” Roberts.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
