Noel Lundy, 76, of Shubert, NE, passed away June 3, 2020, in Falls City, NE. He was born May 9, 1944, at Falls City to Leon and Gladys (Vice) Lundy.
He married Barbara Kuker in August of 1962 in Falls City. They were divorced in April of 1975.
Noel was raised at Shubert, attended Fike Country School and graduated from Shubert High School in 1961. He then attended Peru State College. Following his schooling, he became employed at Frontier Homes and then purchased and ran the Humboldt Bowling Alley, then worked in grain bin construction, then the oil fields and then became a self-employed residential carpenter. He also raised cattle on the side and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Falls City Elks Club.
Noel is survived by his children, Tammy Shafer of Verdon, Dwayne Lundy of Stella, brother, Dan and his wife Judy of Humboldt, NE, sisters, Roxanne Pierce and Cindy Overfield and her husband Dan both of Auburn, grandchildren, Chris Lundy and his wife Erin of Fayetteville, AR, Matt Lundy of Auburn, Luke Lundy of Lawrence, KS, Zebulon Shafer and his wife Caitlin of Shubert, Kenan Shafer and his wife Kaitlin of Morrill, KS, great-grandchildren, Alexa, Brooklyn Gracie Mae, Becket Ann, Jackson Delman and Nolan James and significant other, Ann Liberty of Verdon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in infancy, Kathy.
His funeral will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020, at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Gfeller officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Union Cemetery. People uncomfortable with crowds may listen in their car on 90.1 FM if in close proximity to the funeral home.
Open visitation will begin Saturday afternoon until 5:00 PM and on Sunday from noon until 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
