The Promenade Park dedication was held on October 28, 2019. This Park was made possible through the combined efforts of the William R. Boose Family, Brian and Kristen Poppe, City of Falls City, Falls City Recreation, and the Richardson Foundation. The opportunity to add more parking spaces for the Fiedler Family Complex began when this group collaborated to purchase the home on the corner of 14th and Barada St. The area expanded when the group was able to purchase the adjacent lots to the west from Alyce Sickel and Betty Majerus.
Providing additional parking space has been a long-term goal since the construction of ball fields in 2012. This goal was completed through donations from the William R. Boose Family, represented by William R. Boose III and Annemarie Boose Hunter and Brian and Kristen Poppe. The city of Falls City provided man hours installing sidewalks, removing trees, and maintenance. The combined efforts of the Richardson Foundation and Falls City Recreation provided initial financial support to purchase the land. During the dedication, Poppe expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support from the City of Falls City, Richardson Foundation, and Falls City Recreation for making this project possible. Poppe also mentioned the numerous projects in Falls City which have been supported by the William R. Boose Family over the years.
