Doris Oliver, 92, of Falls City, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Falls City. She was born on March 28, 1924 in Falls City to the late Harry and Lillian (Nelson) Wamsley.
She married Paul H. Oliver on May 28, 1941 at Hiawatha, KS. Mr. Oliver passed away on April 11, 1998.
Doris was raised in both Falls City and Kansas City. When married, the couple established their home in Falls City. She was a homemaker and lived her entire adult life in Falls City.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Falls City, and was a Camp Fire and 4-H leader.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Diane Rieschick, of Falls City; half-sister, Marian (Daniel) Ozarski, of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Janet E. Lewis; and half-brothers, Billy, Harry, Clifford and Frank Harger Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Steele Cemetery, Falls City, with Pastor Jerry Yount officiating. No viewing or visitation. Dorr & Clark Funeral Home, Falls City, is in charge of arrangements.
