Anna M. Bierman, 95, of Falls City, NE, passed away Jan. 26, 2016 at Falls City. She was born July 30, 1920 south of Barada, to the late Adolf and Mary (Fischer) Mack.
Anna was baptized in September of 1920 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and confirmed in June of 1935 at the same church. She attended the Barada School through the eighth grade then helped out her family on the family farm until her marriage.
On Jan. 12, 1941 she married Lawrence Bierman at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He passed away November 6, 1999. They established their home twelve and a half miles northeast of Falls City where they farmed, raised pigs, cows, chickens and she had an egg route.
She sold Avon for many years and cleaned houses over twenty years. She loved her flowers and garden. After moving into Falls City in 1973 she continued to clean for many years. She lived at Eastview for six years and moved to Falls City Healthcare Community in March of 2015. She loved the activities there and when her great-grandchildren and friends came to play games and visit. She enjoyed life and made everyone smile. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (20th & Towle) and an active member of the Mariam Esther and Morning Circles of her church.
Anna is survived by her son, Gary (Carol) and daughter, Mary Ann (Leonard) Rieschick, all of Falls City, grandchildren, Cathy (Tom) Bullock, Mike (Jennifer) Bierman, Vicky (Steven) Yoesel and Tony Rieschick, great-grandchildren, Chris Yoesel, Trisha Long, Anthony (Angie) Foster, Tiffany (Aaron) Johansen, Paige (Matt) Buckminster, Allie and Laruen Bierman, great-great-grandchildren, Addyson and Beckett Long, Kendall, Hattie & Cammie Johansen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Carl and Henry Mack, sisters, Helen Mack and Hilda Wert.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Andrew Chavanak officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.Open visitation will begin Thursday afternoon.
