VIOLA M. LINSCOTT

Viola M. Linscott, 98, of Denton, TX, formerly of Falls City, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 at Denton. She was born May 3, 1916 at Falls City to the late Henry and Lizzie (Gonser) Apel.

On Aug.18, 1937 she married Judd Linscott at Falls City. He passed away March 30, 1986.

Viola was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1934. Following graduation she worked at an Insurance Agency for Mabel Johnson and following their marriage the couple established their home in Falls City.

She continued to live in Falls City until 2011, when she moved to Texas to be with her daughter. She eventually resided at Joyful Journey Assisted Living Home in Denton. She loved gardening.

Viola is survived by her sons, Donald (Cathy), of Lincoln, and Jerry (Theresa), of Winter Park, FL; daughter, Jean (Gordon) Baethge, of Argyle, TX; five grandchildren, John, Mark, Todd and Palmer Linscott, and Kate Lee; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, LaVina Luster and Leona Bowers; brothers, Lester Harold and Orville Apel.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Weinert officiating. Interment in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family prefers memorials to Alzheimers Association.
