At 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, you are invited to attend a community-wide carol sing to be held at the Falls City High School Auditorium.
Members of Sacred Heart and Falls City High School as well as the Clefsmen will present the first half of this free concert.
The second half of the concert will feature “The Christmas Story,” a Christmas Cantana presented by a Mass Community Choir under the direction of Mrs. June Bowers. “The Christmas Story” is filled with glorious images of promise, love, joy, faith, worship and a baby who is God’s greatest gift of salvation. The Cantana includes a blend of familiar and lesser-known Christian carols, which are the perfect match for the refreshing narrative.
The Falls City Area Fellowship of Churches, for fifty years has been presenting this concert in an effort to bring the Christmas spirit to the community.
Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend this hour of special music of the season. A free will offering will be collected and all monies are used to help area youth attend summer camps.
Funds for the Cantana have been supplemented by the Richardson County Arts and Humanities Council and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Questions about the concert may be directed to Doug Kirkendall at 402-245-3108. Come and celebrate the Christmas season.
