Midge Hartman, 79, of Falls City, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Falls City. She was born Jan. 21, 1935 at Rulo, to the late George and Edith (Ogden) Rhodd.
On Jan. 23, 1970 she married Glen Hartman in Plattsmouth. He passed away Sept. 6, 2000.
Midge was raised at Rulo and Falls City. She was employed at various places until she married Mr. Hartman and they established their home at Hiawatha, KS, where she operated a dairy farm until 1976 and they purchased Nokomis and operated that business until opening Cottonwood Meadows. She then owned The Waggon Wheel in Falls City. She retired as the food and beverage manager for Casino White Cloud in 2006.
Midge is survived by her children, Richard (Sheila) Hartman, of Bryron, IL, Debbi (Rick) Bryan, of Hiawatha, Amy (Brian) Buckminster, and Sue Ann Hartman, all of Falls City; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Donnie Pupkes; and brothers, Joe, William, Melvin and Vernon Rhodd.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, with Eric Biehl officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
