The public is invited to an open house at the Krumme Memorial Arboretum from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 7.
Located near Stanton Lake at the end of West 25th Street, the Open House is a way to become acquainted with a theme of plants native to Nebraska and adjoining states.
There are four other good reasons to venture out to the arboretum:
– The Tribe of Mic-O-Say dancers, a Boy Scouts of America group, will perform at 1:30.
– Party Pets on Wheels of Omaha will bring 10 units for rides to amuse the very young to grandparents. There is no charge for these rides.
– Ice cream sundaes will be handed out on a first-come basis, courtesy of Southeast Nebraska Communications.
– And, the Richardson County Humane Society will be there to take pictures of people and their pets. So, bring your favorite animal pet to the arboretum.
The Krumme Arboretum is an asset of The Richardson Foundation. Take a virtual visit at arboretum.unl.edu.
