Next Tuesday’s basketball games between Falls City High and Tri County will begin at their originally scheduled times, but for the first time since 2001, the Tigers’ hoops teams will face an opponent at their old stomping grounds, Prichard Auditorium.
Only the boys’ junior varsity game will be played at Falls City High School, while the boys’ varsity and Lady Tigers’ junior varsity and varsity games will be played between the limestone walls of the historic auditorium.
The junior varsity games are both scheduled for 4 p.m., followed by the girls’ varsity game at 5:30 and the varsity boys at 7.
The Tiger boys last played at Prichard on Feb. 15, 2001 against Ashland-Greenwood who left town with a 63-56 victory. The Lady Tigers last game at Prichard was also in February of 2001, but the opponent and outcome were not available.
It was mistakenly reported Thursday that the last time both varsity Tiger basketball teams played at Prichard was Feb. 15, 2001 against Omaha Central Christian.
