Many activities are planned for the Memorial Day weekend at Indian Cave State Park.
There will be guided horse trail rides and living history demonstrations. You will be able to see demonstrators dipping candles and making Granny’s lye soap in the village of St. Deroin. A broom maker will be in the old general store making corn booms. There also will be a blacksmith showing the art of blacksmithing.
The museum will be open all weekend with displays of the park history. Many artifacts are displayed for viewing. Kids can enjoy making crafts and a scavenger hunt can be enjoyed by the young and very young at heart.
Saturday there will be fried catfish starting at noon and it will be served throughout the day.
The Pioneer Long Rifle Club will hold its rendezvous on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. to l p.m.
