Roxann Stitzer, 73, of Salem, NE, passed away April 24, 2024 at Falls City. She was born June 30, 1950 at Falls City to Glendonald “Bud” and Gertrude “Gertie” (Biedenweg) Runyan
She married Mark Stitzer on May 20, 1972 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Roxann was raised north of Falls City and graduated Falls City High School in 1968. She then went on to graduated Peru State College in 1972 with a teaching degree, she taught at the Barada School until 1980. She then became a farmer and homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and was a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher and was active in the WELCA. She was also a member of the Homemakers of the Hills.
Roxann is survived by her husband, Mark of Salem, daughter, Brooke Adam and her husband Brian of Lincoln and their daughters, Baylee and Brynlee, brother, Don Runyan and his wife Becky of Falls City, sisters, Joni Milam of Falls City, Gaye Runyan of Nebraska City, NE, nieces and nephews, Staci (Derek) Deger of Firth, NE, Judd (Jamie) Milam of Falls City, Darcy (Paul) Demmel of Chicago, IL, Jace (Amanda) Milam of Salem, MO, Andy (Annie) Runyan of York, NE, Courtney (Byron) Ochsner of Lincoln, NE, Maggie (Ryan) Ochsner of Orange, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Hader officiating. Interment will be in Williamsville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
