Gregory L. Strickland of Falls City gained his wings on May 29, 2023.
He was born on March 24, 1962, to Rex and Janice (Gutschow) Strickland in Cozad, NE. He graduated from Cozad High School. Greg worked in many restaurants across Nebraska for 40+ years, including The Green Apple in Cozad, which still operates today.
In 1999 Greg met his partner, Lloyd Stone. They were united in marriage on July 23, 2016, in Falls City.
Greg is survived by his husband, Lloyd, of the home; brother, Gordon (Debra) Strickland; sisters, Gloria Harmon and Donna (Merlin) McFate; sons, Justin Strickland and Jarrod Matres, sister-in-law, RaeDean Inama, all of Nebraska.
He’s preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Michael Harmon.
Greg was a loving, generous man who lived up to his motto, “Be Kind.”
A celebration of life will be held on June 12, 2023, at Candlelight Cabin, Stanton Lake, at 5:30 p.m. with dinner.
