Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Finck

Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Finck, 66, of Lincoln, NE, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025 in Falls City, NE. She was born August 9, 1959, in Falls City to Raymond and Ruth Ann (Duder) Finck.

Betty attended Falls City Sacred Heart and graduated in 1977. She attended St. Benedictine College in Atchison, KS graduating with a degree in food and nutrition in 1981. Betty then went on to get a degree in elementary education graduating in 1983 from Peru State College.

After graduation Betty became a preschool daycare teacher in Papillion, Nebraska. In 1985, she moved to Lincoln where she was a manager at Bonanza which later became USA Steak Buffet. After its closure, she started her 20-year career with Region V / APACE where she was known for her kindness, dedication, and strong advocacy for the individuals she served. She also had part-time jobs at Younkers and Panera Bread during this time as well. Even though Betty was small in stature (her driver’s license stated 4’ 10”, highly doubtful), she always made her presence known. She never met a stranger and was always vested in everyone she met. Through her various jobs, her church and even the mall walkers at Gateway, Betty made sure that she knew their names, where they were from, their family, where they worked and anything else of significance so the next time she encountered them she would continue their last conversation.

She was a proud member of “Betty’s Club” in Lincoln which is a social club for women named Betty to gather, share experiences, and build friendships. Betty took great pride advocating for her clients often bringing them joy through concerts, sporting events, and activities tailored to their interests. She loved the Kansas City Royals, the Chiefs, and all things Husker, but she especially cherished supporting her nephews and niece play sports at Falls City Sacred Heart. Betty was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Lincoln. Betty will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who valued family, faith, and meaningful connections.

She is survived by her mother Ruth Finck, Falls City, NE, and siblings Mike Finck (Cheryl), Falls City, NE, Janet Malone (Kevin), Falls City, NE, David Finck, Mt. Pleasant, SC, nephews and niece Cliff Finck (Alyssa), Falls City, NE, Clay Finck, Lincoln, NE, Nate Finck (Olivia), Omaha, NE, Austin Malone, Omaha, NE, and Lauren Malone Falls City, NE.
