Michael L. “Mike” Rowell, 67, of Robinson, died October 17, 2024 at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Mike was born at Falls City, Nebraska, December 15, 1956, the son of LaVern and Catherine Liberty Rowell.
He worked at Flair Fold in Hiawatha, Ks until 1995 which is where he met his wife Mindy. They were married in Hiawatha, at her family’s house, on June 24, 1995. He later worked for Mac Processing in Sabetha until 2017.
During his school years, he attended Gracemor School in his younger years. He also attended Topping Intermediate School. He graduated from Southeast Consolidated School in 1975. After high school, he attended Peru Stare College, on a football scholarship where he participated in plays and musicals.
He joined the Nebraska National Guard in 1982 for a time.
Some of his hobbies included; hunting and fishing with his dad, bowling, softball. He also Loved Karaoke!
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Dennis and Kerry Rowell, and a father in law, Jack Crumb.
He is survived by his wife Mindy; his children: Rachel (Lee), Jacklyn Miller (Alex), and son Scott; also by his mother in law, Mary Crumb and father in law, Lynn Rash, and nine grandchildren.
Services are planned for 6 p.m. Thursday, October 24, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha. Butch Liberty of Kansas City will officiate. Cremation is to follow service with private family burial of remains at the Barada, Nebraska Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Thursday where the family will meet one hour prior to services.
