Darrell Schulenberg, 67, of Falls City, NE, passed away May 27, 2024 at Falls City. He was born December 27, 1956 at Falls City to Jesse and Luella (Arnold) Schulenberg.
He married Roxanne Sailors in August of 1977 and the later divorced. He then married Karla (Laverentz) Parker on February 14, 1991 and divorced on September 26, 2008.
He served in the National Guards with Company B in Falls City.
Darrell was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City in 1975. Following graduation, he worked at Pizza Hut and then moved to Hawthorne, NV where he worked at casinos. He returned to Falls City where he worked in pork production and then became a welder for Airlanco. He started working for the BNSF Railroad in track maintenance until he had to retire due to his health in 2012. He enjoyed fishing and baseball. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 20th and Towle St.
Darrell is survived by his children, Jared of Clairmont, OK, Jessica Williams and her husband Kenneth of Hamilton, MO, Bryton and his wife Katherine of Macon, GA, step-children, Brandon Parker of Courtland, NE, Karman Buhr of Weeki Wachee, FL, brother, Wayne of Hawthorne, NV, sisters, Donna Bentley of Falls City, Joan Mosiman of Lincoln, NE, Susan Schulenberg of Plainville, NC, Kay Johnson and her husband Mitch of Banner Elk, NC, fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son in infancy, and a sister, Doris Jean Louthan.
Mr. Schulenberg has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 20th and Towle St. with Pastor Joanna Kathol officiating.
