Jerry Crofford, 87, of Falls City, NE, passed away May 25, 2024 at Falls City. He was born April 23, 1937 at Falls City to Kenneth and Helen (Stednitz) Crofford.
He married Wanda Casey on August 23, 1958 at Falls City, she passed away September 30, 2003.
Jerry was raised in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1955. Following graduation he worked for the Falls City Meat Company until 1977 when he began working for American Family Insurance as a local insurance agent in Falls City. He retired in 2005. He enjoyed attending Nebraska football games and was a huge fan. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Jerry is survived by his sons, Robert and William both of Falls City, son-in-law, Keith Speers of Kansas City, MO, brothers, Roger of Falls City and Terry and his wife Cathy of DuBois, WY, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Kerry Speers, sister, Barbara Killingsworth and a brother, Dennie Crofford.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Falls City Catholic Cemetery with Father Jim Meysenburg officiating.
A Parish Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, the family will receive friends following the rosary.
