Mary E. Little, 94, of Falls City, NE, passed away December 31, 2023. She was born July 17, 1929 to John and Margaret (Hunzeker) Goltz.
She married Edmond Little on January 4, 1948 in Falls City. He passed away December 21, 2004.
Mary was raised on a farm near Rulo and she attended country school through the eighth grade and then graduated from Falls City High School in 1946. When married the couple established their home on the family farm, moving into Falls City in 1977. Mary worked at Northview Care Center for over twenty years. She then began working for Mary Whitehoue at the Mini Mall then JC Penney Catalogue and Mary’s Appliance. She was a member of Falls City Church of Christ, served as a member of the volunteer ambulance squad for over ten years and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed painting and was a member of the Art Gallery and the Red Hat Society.
Mary is survived by her son, Richard and his wife Lani of Falls City, sisters, Dorothy Price and her husband John of Rulo, Marge Gubser of Conroe, TX, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Evelyn Brown, Joan Wist, brothers, Donald and Marvin.
Mary has been cremated and services will be held in the spring.
