Maurice D. Taylor, (89) of Gladstone, Missouri passed away on October 30, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born June 17, 1934 in Verdon, Nebraska to the late Harold and Muriel (Auxier) Taylor. He was preceded in death by wife of 70 years, Janet (Watkins) Taylor, his brother Ronald M. Taylor and niece Debra Ann Taylor.
He and Janet were married on August 10, 1952, then moved to Kansas City, Missouri the same year. Maurice earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering and went on to retire from the Ford Motor Assembly Plant in Kansas City after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his son Terry Taylor and their daughter Jana (Taylor) Barnhart. He is also survived by his sisters Sandra (Taylor) Oxendine, Lana (Taylor) Fraccascia, sister-in-law Betty Jo (Moore) Taylor, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A (9am) visitation and (10am) celebration of life will be held at the Fairview Christian Church, in Gladstone, Missouri on Saturday, November 11, 2023. His ashes will be interred in the Fairview Cemetery in Kearney, Missouri and in the Verdon Cemetery in Verdon, Nebraska.
