Michael Pagnano, Sr., 79, of Verdon, NE, passed away July 2, 2023, in Lincoln, NE. He was born in March 1944 in Omaha, NE to Antonio and Pauline (Venditte) Pagnano.
Mike was raised at Omaha and married Susan Cole on August 6, 1960, in Omaha, NE. They established their home in Omaha and then shortly moved to Falls City and then to Verdon. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 18 years. He retired from the railroad due to an injury. He then started M & S Trucking and then he owned Mikes Bar & Grill where he primarily cooked. He also cooked for the previous owners and the successive owners as well. He served on the Verdon Cemetery Board for many years and was the Godfather of the West Nile.
Mike is survived by his wife, Susan of Verdon, children, Dominic and his wife Tina of Dawson, Tammie Bents and her husband Jake of Verdon, Frank and his wife Kari of Verdon, Vinnie and his wife Terra of Cottonwood, CA, brother, Patrick of Verdon, sister, Theresa Agerson of Omaha, nineteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Jr., brothers, Lawrence, Dominic, Frank, John, Tony and Joe, sisters, Florence Goatcher, Victoria Smith, grandson, Joel Franzen and a great-granddaughter, Alessandra Gilmore.
The body of Mr. Pagnano has been cremated and a graveside service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Verdon Cemetery with Pastor Dan Farley officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
