Currently there are no known cases of COVID-19 in Richardson County, but Falls City Public Schools announced last night that they would be shutting their doors until April 6, 2020.

All school buildings will be closed to students starting March 18, 2020. Faculty and staff will report as normal. School buildings will not be open or accessible to the public.
The district is planning a free Grab & Go breakfast/lunch program for every student in the district due to schools being closed for COVID-19, beginning on Tuesday, March 25. The meal will include a lunch for the day and breakfast for the next day. You will be receiving a survey this week to indicate your participation and the details of the meal pick-up locations and delivery options.
The Falls City Library also announced they will be closed until further notice.
Mutt & Jeff Drive-In issued this statement, “Dear loyal customers, We are fully aware that the president has adviced people to avoid crowds larger than ten and avoid bars and restaurants. We are taking precautions to make sure we are keeping our employees and customers as safe as possible during this crisis. We will be taking extra measures inside our kitchen with gloves and frequent hand washing as usual. We have disinfected and sanitized our kitchen to the best of our abilities. Our carhops will be handling drinks and bags of food from the bottom of theban to help with not spreading germs. Community Medical Center proactive measures to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19): No visitors are allowed for non-minor patients with potentially contagious respiratory illness, including confirmed and suspected COVID. One person may be designated as a support person to visit and support an admitted patient during non-respiratory admission.
