Kari Simpson

Kari Vogele, 36, of Salem, NE, passed away August 23, 2019, in Salem. She was born November 6, 1982, in Falls City, NE to Mike and Vicki (Nussbaum) Simpson.
Kari was raised in Salem and graduated from Dawson-Verdon High School in 2001. Following graduation, she worked at Sonic.

She married Warren Vogele on October 31, 2013, in Salem, when married, the couple made their home in Salem and owned and operated the Big Red Inn in Salem. In 2016 she became ill due to kidney failure and was unable to work. She was a foster parent and an avid Chiefs fan.
Kari is survived by her husband, Warren of Salem, father and step-mother, Mike and Krista Simpson of Ashland, NE, mother, Vicki Rowland her friend Tom Strecker of Falls City, step-father, Richard Rowland of Salem, siblings, Scott Rowland and his wife Chelsey of Lincoln, Kristen Russell-Hall and her son Tatum-Hall of Falls City, Shelby Simpson of Falls City, Heaven, Eboni and Frank Simpson all of Ashland, Amanda Alexander of Julesburg, CO, grandfather, Lyle Nussbaum of Falls City, grandmother, Mary Lou Hill of Falls City, uncles and aunts, Harold and Deb Nussbaum of Falls City, David and Kristen Simpson of Humboldt, NE, Mary Jo and Sam Liberty of Falls City.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lois Nussbaum, and uncle, Ken Simpson.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Berry officiating. Interment will be in Maple Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
