Raymond Sommerville, 63, of Beatrice, NE, passed away April 9, 2018 in Beatrice. He was born Jan. 10, 1955 at Fairbury, NE to John and Lenora (Allen) Sommerville.
Raymond enlisted in the U. S. Army on October 20, 1972 and was honorably discharged on March 6, 1974.
Raymond was raised at Beatrice and attended Beatrice Public Schools. Following his discharge he lived in Texas and in 1982 moved to Belleville, KS where he owned Automotive Hobby Repair. He then moved to Mahaska, KS where he was an auto mechanic and tow truck operator. He retired in 2014 due to his health. He was a member of VFW at Belleville.
Raymond is survived by his daughters, Alisha Sommerville of Junction City, KS, Sara Sibley of Belleville, son, Steven Sommerville of Denver, brother, Larry of Wymore, NE, sisters, Joanna Cooper and her husband Greg of Beatrice, Caroline Marples and her husband Jim of Ayr, NE, Alice Bryne and her husband Eddie of Wymore, Amanda Martinez and her husband Jesse of Beatrice and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service were held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Rulo Cemetery with Reverend Edward MacDonald officiating. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.
