Arrest made in connection with Richardson County Courthouse Burglary

An arrest has been made in connection with the recent break in of the Richardson County Courthouse.

In a media report sent to the Falls City Journal from the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office, Harvey Webster, Jr. was arrested for Obstructing a Peace Officer with violence, resisting arrest, terroristic threats, possession of stolen property, and a warrant for failure to appear, and a warrant for failure to pay fines and costs.

During this arrest stolen property from the Richardson County Courthouse burglary was recovered.

The Richardson County Courthouse was broken into on Monday night, October 23. The Treasurer’s Office, Clerk’s Office and the Register of Deed’s Office were vandalized and temporary closed on Tuesday morning.

An investigation followed where some damage was found on the exterior of the Courthouse and the County Clerk’s office was found to be ransacked.

The investigation is still ongoing.
