PATRICK L. REICHERT

MSGT Patrick L. Reichert, Ret., 63, of Rulo, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Rulo. He was born Aug. 30, 1953 at Hiawatha, KS, to Leo and Patsy (Whalen) Reichert.

He married Peggy Clark in Spokane, WA.

Patrick was raised at Rulo and attended Rulo grade school, Falls City High School and Southeast Consolidated High School.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on Dec. 6, 1971 at Omaha. He served various places, earning a Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Achievement Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Long Tour Ribbon and a Longevity Service Award Ribbon. He was honorably discharged and retired on Dec. 1, 1992 at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington.

Following his retirement, he lived in Spokane, WA, and managed the D.A.V. Hall. He moved back to Rulo in 2008 and worked at Casino White Cloud for the last nine years.

He was a member of American Legion Post #110 of Spokane.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Rulo; children, Sherry (Charles) Simpson, of Washington, Christopher, of Texas, and Shannon Williams; sister, Pam (Norm) Thompson, of Rulo; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Rulo Cemetery, with Rev. John Hogue officiating. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.

Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, of Falls City, is in charge of arrangements.
