Walter Albert “Bud” Marx, Jr., 89, of Falls City, passed away Sunday morning, March 13, 2016 at Community Medical Center. He was born in Falls City on Jan. 3, 1927, the son of Walter A., Sr., and Hazel M. (Ridley) Marx.
He’s survived by daughters, Kathy A. Marx, of Lincoln, and Susan Elizabeth “Betsy” (Steve) Sinner, of Elkhorn; and a son, Joseph E. Marx, of Omaha; granddaughters, Megan Sinner, of Dallas, TX, and Jenni Sinner, of Elkhorn; nieces, Deborah Lemerond and Teresa Kearney, of Falls City, Joyce (Joe) Smith, of Liberty, MO, Sue (Steve) Huston, of Topeka, KS, and Pat Bottenberg, of Perry, KS; and nephews, Michael (Carla) and Patrick Marx, of Falls City, Jim (Connie) and John (Diane) Marx, of Los Angeles, Bill Marx, of Norwalk, CA, Steve (Lynn) and John (Diane) Gibbs, of Santa Fe, NM.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Phyllis E. Marx, who passed away on Dec. 20, 1997; a grandson, Steven Joseph Sinner; brothers, Charles J. “Chico” and Warren W. “Barney” Marx; sister, Maxine H. Gibbs; sister-in-law, Betty Coleen Marx Hussenoeder; and a niece, Janie Basil.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Friday, March 18, 2016, TBD. Dorr & Clark Funeral Home, of Falls City, is in charge of arrangements.
