Carmen A. Jensen, 72, of Omaha, passed away on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at her home after a brief illness. She was born July 5, 1943 in Falls City to Henry J. and Margaret Watton.
She graduated from FC Sacred Heart High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Omaha. She retired from Midwest Allergy Clinic after more than 35-year career, then continued her passion for nursing in other areas until her death. Her love for family and friends was evident in her home and she welcomed everyone with open arms. More than anything, she loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Jensen; children, Christine (John) Sennentz, of Minneapolis, MN, Andrea Mitteis, of Omaha, and Eric (Stacia) Patton, of Costa Rica; four grandchildren, Blair, Rachael and Aaron Mitteis, and Zachary Sennentz; siblings, Bev (Robert) Sunderman, of Hiawatha, KS, Ron (Sandy) Watton, of Elkhorn, Roger (Barbara) Watton, of Eagle, Regina (Michael) Cox, of Portland, OR, Geri Koehler, of Omaha, and Mark (Diana) Watton, of Wahoo; many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents.
Private family services will be held and a celebration of Carmen’s life will be Saturday, May 14, 2016 (more details will be made available in early May). CELEBRATION of Carmen’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 14, (details to be posted in early May). Memorial gifts are suggested to Siena Francis House. John A. Gentleman Mortuaries & Crematory, of Omaha, is in charge of arrangements.
