Kenneth P. Yoesel, 88, of Sabetha, KS, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at Sabetha. He was born May 5, 1927 to the late Chris and Clara (Rieger) Yoesel.
Kenneth was raised northeast of Falls City and attended Falls City High. He enlisted in the Army on March 26, 1952 at Omaha. While serving he received an Occupation Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged on March 3, 1954 at Fort Sheridan, IL.
On May 9, 1948 he married Lucille Scheitel at Falls City. When married the couple established their home in Falls City for two years and then moved to Morrill, KS, until moving into Sabetha in May of 2010. He was employed for 11 years for the creamery in Nemaha County Kansas and in 1966 he began working as a truck driver for Wenger at Sabetha until retiring in 1990. He was a member of North Ridge Church at Sabetha.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son in infancy.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lucille Yoesel, of Sabetha; sons, Kent (Belinda) Yoesel, of Sharon, TN, and Mark (Marie) Yoesel, of McMinnville, OR; brother, Clarence (Doris) Yoesel, of FC; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016 at Steele Cemetery, with Charlie Robinson officiating. Military graveside honors by the Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard. The family prefers memorials be made to family choice for later designation.
