JOANN JONES

Joann Jones, 85, of Falls City, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015. She was born Sept. 22, 1929 at Forest City, MO, to the late Gerald W. and Mary (Clift) Anno.
    Joann was raised in Forest City and graduated from Forest City High School in 1947. She married Virgil Jones on Nov. 27, 1948 at St. Joseph, MO. When married. the couple established their home north of Falls City and moved to Rulo in 1953. In 1961 she began a 29-year career at the ASCS office, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed her flowers and golfing.
    Joann was a member of the Falls City BPO Does #56 and was Past State President of the Does
    She is survived by her husband, Virgil, of Falls City; sons, Gary (Linda) Jones, of Falls City, and Rick Jones and Julie, of Rulo; brother, John (Lola) Anno, of Rulo; sister, Elaine McCool, of St. Joseph, MO; two grandchildren, Tracy (Brett) Williams, of Laramie, WY, and Kara (Jeremy) Willison, of Lincoln; four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Mikayla, Connor and Cooper.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dwaine, Gerald and Carl; and a granddaughter, Jennifer, in infancy.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, Falls City, with Rev. Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Interment at Steele Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
