ANNA M. SCHAWANG

Anna Margaret Schawang, 86, of Falls City, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at Falls City. She was born May 3, 1928 at Falls City to the late Joseph and Julia (Bauman) Lippold.
    On Aug. 9, 1945 she married Bennie Scholl at St. Mary’s, KS. He passed away July 11, 1969.She then married Lester Schawang on March 21, 1970 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Rulo. He passed away April 4, 2006.
    Anna Margaret was raised at Falls City and when married to Mr. Scholl they made their home in Barada. When she married Mr. Schawang, they made their home on a farm southeast of Barada. She was a homemaker and farm wife her entire life. She moved into Falls City in 2007. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Arago, Altar Society, Catholic Daughters, Does Drove #56 and a Golden Member of VFW Auxiliary.
    Anna Margaret is survived by her sons, Bear (Dessie) Scholl, Dan (Cathy) Scholl; daughters, Shirley (Merlin) Bauman, Marcella (Allan) Bauman, all of Falls City; daughter-in-law, SuEllen Scholl of Falls City; brothers, Albert Lippold of Falls City, Clarence (Doris) Lippold, of Salem; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a sister in infancy; a great-grandson; and a son, Wayne.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Rulo, with Fr. David Oldham as the presiding priest. Interment will be in Falls City Catholic Cemetery.
    A Parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with family receiving friends following the rosary.
