Elizabeth A. “Betty” Tutt, 68, of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1944, in Falls City, the daughter of Leo H. and Margaret (Steinbrink) Koester. She married Earl Tutt on June 22, 1964.
Betty was a member of Cathedral of The Risen Christ Catholic Church, Saint Gerald Circle Parish Council of Catholic Women and Light of The World group. She was retired from UNL after 21 years of service.
Survivors include her mother, Margaret Koester, Falls City; a son, Dale (Laura) Tutt, Wichita, KS; a daughter, Mary (Steve) Bailey, Lincoln; a grandson; four step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her father, Leo H. Koester Sr., and ex-husband, Earl E. Tutt.
Visitation was Wednesday, with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at the Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 “A” St., Lincoln 68510. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at the Cathedral of The Risen Christ Catholic Church, 3500 Sheridan. Memorials are suggested to Saint Gregory and Great Seminary. Msgr. Robert Tucker will officiate.
