LUCILLE FISCHER

Lucille Fischer, 94, of Falls City, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at Falls City. She was born March 11, 1921 at Rulo to the late Joshua “Bucky” and Ellen (Noyes) Foster.

In 1940, she married Willard Scott at Rulo. He passed away in 1948. She then married Walter Fischer in 1950 at Hiawatha, KS. He passed away in 1985.

Lucille was raised at Rulo and attended school in the Rulo and Barada area. When married to Mr. Scott, the couple established their home in Rulo. She was a cook at Camp Rulo and Northview Care Center for many years. When married to Mr. Fischer, they lived north of Rulo and moved into Falls City in 1977. She retired from cooking in 1985 to help take care of her grandchildren and she also worked part-time for In Home Health.

She is survived by her children, Walter (Mary) Scott, of Hiawatha, Nancy (Steve) Lippold, of Salem, Phillip Fischer and Debbie, of Falls City; brother, Joseph Foster, of Blair; 12 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; children, Lee Scott and Linda Scott Williams; 11 brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Rulo Cemetery, with Rev. Andrew Chavanak officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home, Falls City.
