Ronald L. Shefferd

Ronald L. Shefferd, 78, of Falls City, NE, passed away April 24, 2021, at Falls City. He was born March 26, 1942, at Falls City to Leonard and Lucille (Aue) Shefferd.
Ronald was raised in Richardson County and graduated from Stella High School in 1961. He enlisted in the U. S. Army on May 26, 1964, and was honorably discharged on May 14, 1966. When discharged, he returned to Falls City and then moved to Omaha, where he worked at Gate City Steel. He moved back to Falls City and spent his time doing handyman work around Falls City. He had a special fondness for his 1958 Chevy Impala convertible, playing guitar and Elvis.
Ronald is survived by his son, Rodrick Rowland of Falls City, brothers, Gary and his wife Karen of Hiawatha, KS; Richard and his wife Barb of Hiawatha, KS; Dennis and his wife Pam of House Springs, MO; David Shefferd and his wife Debbie of Fairview, KS; sisters, Judy Bradley of Falls City; Pat Karst and her husband Ronald of Salem, NE; Sue Buckminster and her husband Marvin of Falls City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Diane Wendtlandt.
Mr. Shefferd has been cremated and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
